It has been a while since a started reading books again. I was able to get a copy of “The Creative Innovation Launchpad: Building a Culture of Innovation” as a refresher starting 2021. It is always good to read more about our local scene here in the Philippines. There is always a lot of things happening in the tech scene.

The book is easy reading and straight forward. As I went through the first few chapters it brought me back to the time when I can relate to certain situations. It tells you about how the group dynamics of creatives vs business side of things. Surprisingly, I just found out that the group behind “The Creative Innovation Launchpad: Building a Culture of Innovation” is also the one who produced “The Finishers”

Here is my review of “The Finishers”

The book is powered by fresh insights from Mario Domingo, the founder of several artificial intelligence and advanced analytics-focused companies in Singapore and the Philippines. He’s also the Group CTO of Chi-X Asia-Pacific Holdings, Ltd, and the Director of the Ateneo Institute for Digital Enterprises.

It tackles crucial points and advice in matters such as bootstrapping, driving top-down innovation, pitching to investors, design thinking, creating an innovation hub, and developing an innovation flywheel―all of which are essential in how companies can efficiently run their operations and even do more. Mario’s entertaining and insightful (and somewhat cohesive) ideas about creative innovation can help executives of both small and large enterprises navigate the world of business and reach their definition of success.

If you’re a business leader struggling to pitch an idea, create a unique product, or generally “lead”, you can find your way through “The Creative Innovation Launchpad”. Go ahead, read the first few chapters, and you’ll already find yourself rich with knowledge on business and creative innovation (and some of Mario’s jokes too).
