After positioning their mobile app navigation to the bottom, Twitter has now taken steps to change their desktop website.

One of our editors has seen a new refresh of the Twitter desktop layout that features a two-column layout with the feed on the left and other information including top trends and accounts to follow on the right. This is very reminiscent of the earlier layouts of the social microblogging site before it transitioned to its current layout.

No word if this will reach other users since the layout was reverted to the current one as of this writing. So, it looks like it’s still being tested and was only available to select users. We have reached to Twitter for comments on the new layout.
